Examples

var options = new PdfSignatureValidationOptions();
options.TrustedRoots.Add(companyRootCertificate);

var report = PdfSignatureValidator.Validate("contract.pdf", options);

Remarks

Trust is explicit: a signature reports Trusted only when its signer chains to one of the anchors configured here. Document integrity is always evaluated, independent of trust configuration.

Properties

Password

Password used to open the document when it is encrypted. Empty for unprotected documents.

TrustSystemRoots

Whether the operating system's trusted root store also counts as trust anchors. Defaults to true. On platforms without an accessible store (for example the browser), the store contributes nothing and only TrustedRoots applies.

TrustedRootCertificates

Trust anchors as raw certificate bytes, DER or PEM. Equivalent to TrustedRoots, for environments where the platform certificate type is unavailable (the browser) or where anchors arrive as files. Entries that do not parse contribute nothing.

TrustedRoots

Certificates to trust as chain roots, in addition to the operating system's root store when TrustSystemRoots is enabled.
